Information:
For instruction on reusability, see "Guidelines for Reusable Parts; Sealed and Lubricated Track", Form No. SEBF8022.Maximum track press assembly force ... 330 kN (74 250 lb)(1) Torque for bolts that hold the half links together. (Use 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on bolt threads) ... 170 40 N m (125 30 lb ft) Then turn an additional 180° more.(2) Torque for bolts that hold track shoes to link. Use SAE 30W oil on bolt threads ... 170 40 N m (125 30 lb ft) Then turn an additional 120° more. Install nut so the radii on the corner is against the link.(3) Link height (new) ... 95.25 0.50 mm (3.750 .020 in)(4) Distance from the center of one pin to the center of the next pin (pitch) ... 171.5 mm (6.75 in)(5) Distance from face of link to end of bushing (bushing protrusion) ... 1.45 0.13 mm (.057 .005 in)(6) Maximum permissible end clearance (end play) in joint ... 0.20 mm (.008 in)(7) Thickness of new thrust ring ... 9.60 0.08 mm (.378 .003 in)(8) Pin protrusion (hole end) ... 2.3 0.8 mm (.09 .03 in)(9) Diameter of new bushing ... 53.82 0.10 mm (2.119 .004 in)Track Adjustment

Correct Track Adjustment
Never visually inspect the vent holes or valves to see if grease or oil is coming out of them. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track. Watch the cylinder to see that it moves.
Torque for adjustment and relief valves ... 35 7 N m (25 5 lb ft)For correct track adjustment, use the procedure that follows: The track adjustment procedure should be performed under the same conditions in which the machine is used. Packing must NOT be removed from the track, if packing conditions exist on the job.1. Move the machine forward a distance of twice its length. Allow the machine to come to a stop without the use of the brakes.2. Use the hydraulic track adjuster and move the idler forward (toward the front of the machine) until the track is in the full tight position. Make a mark (B) on the track roller frame, even with the front face of the idler bearing assembly. See Illustration 1.3. Make a mark (C) on the track roller frame 13.0 + 0.0 - 1.5 mm (.5 + 0 - .06 in) behind mark (B).4. Open the relief valve, and allow the idler to move back, until the front face of the idler bearing assembly is behind mark (C). See Illustration 2. It is necessary to move the machine in a back and forth motion to move the idler back.Close the relief valve.5. Use the hydraulic track adjuster, and move the idler forward again, until the front face of the idler bearing assembly is even with mark (C) on the track roller frame.
