Locate plate assembly (19) 42 mm (1.7 inch) from channel (25), and 30 mm (1.2 inch) from plate (26).
Mark the position of plate assembly (19) on the truck body. Remove the plate assembly.
Prepare the area of plate assembly (19) for welding. For the proper procedure, refer to the information in Special Instruction, REHS1841.
Position plate assembly (19) on the machine. Use the information in Illustration 19 to weld the plate assembly to the truck body.

Use two bolts (1), and two washers (2) to bolt plate assembly (11) to plate assembly (19).
Use plate assembly (11) to mark the location of the following parts on the truck body.
Two plate assemblies (3) on the right side of plate assembly (11)
One plate assembly (4) on the right side of plate assembly (11)
One plate assembly (10) on the left side of plate assembly (11)
Disassemble plate assembly (11) from plate assembly (19).
Prepare the four plate assembly areas for welding. For the proper procedure, refer to the information in Special Instruction, REHS1841.
Assemble plate assembly (11) to plate assembly (19).

Use the information in Illustration 22 to weld the three parts to the right sided of plate assembly (11).

Apply tack weld (27) to the bottom of plate assembly (10) to secure the plate assembly to the truck body.

Remove plate assembly (11) from the truck body.
Use the information in Illustration 24 to weld plate assembly (10) to the truck body.

Use two bolts (1), and two washers (2) to bolt plate assembly (13) to plate assembly (19).
Use plate assembly (13) to mark the location of the following parts on the truck body.
Three plate assemblies (4)
One plate assembly (12)
Remove plate assembly (13) from the truck body.
Prepare the positions of the three plate assemblies (4), and one plate assembly (12) for welding. For the proper procedure, refer to the information in Special Instruction, REHS1841.

Install plate assembly (13) to the truck body.
Use the information in Illustration 26 to weld the four plate assemblies to the truck body.

Use plate assembly (13) to locate the position of plate (18). Mark the location of the plate on the truck body.
Remove plate assembly (13) and plate (18) from the truck body. Prepare the area of plate (18) for welding. For the proper procedure, refer to the information in Special Instruction, REHS1841.
Install plate assembly (13), and plate (18) to the truck body. Apply tack weld (28) to plate (18) on the end toward the outside of the truck.

Remove plate assembly (13) from the truck body. Use the information in Illustration28 to weld plate (18) to the truck body.

Retrieve the sound suppression material (C), bolts, (A), and washers (B) that were saved in Step 1. Position the sound suppression material over the bosses on the truck body. Use the bosses as guides to locate the sound suppression material. Use one bolt, and one washer at each boss to retain the sound suppression material. Do not install the bolts and washers at this time.
