Remove Water Temperature Regulators
1. Drain the cooling system. 2. Remove left regulator cover-to-elbow mounting bolts (1). Remove right regulator cover-to-box mounting bolts (10). Remove box, pipe, and elbow as a unit.3. Remove the left aftercooler vent line (4).4. Remove left aftercooler water inlet elbow (6) and sleeve assembly (5). Remove fuel line clamp mounting bolt (3).5. Remove left water temperature regulator cover mounting bolts. Remove cover (2) and water temperature regulators. Remove the regulators from left cover. 6. Remove the right aftercooler vent line (8). Remove right aftercooler water inlet elbow (11). and sleeve assembly (9). Remove elbow-to-cover mounting bolts (12).7. Remove right water temperature regulator cover mounting bolts. Remove cover (7) and water temperature regulators. Remove regulators from right cover.Install Water Temperature Regulators
1. Install regulators in right cover. Install cover and mounting bolts.2. Install elbow-to-cover mounting bolts. Install sleeve assembly and right aftercooler water inlet elbow.
Be sure that drain hole in sleeve assembly is in downward position.
3. Install right aftercooler vent line.4. Install regulators in left cover. Install cover and mounting bolts.5. Install fuel line clamp mounting bolts. Install sleeve assembly and left aftercooler water inlet elbow.
Be sure that drain hole in sleeve assembly is in downward position.
6. Install left aftercooler vent line. 7. Position the box, pipe, and elbow on engine. Install mounting bolts to left and right regulator covers.8. Fill the cooling system.
