The two hydraulic systems are operated with either one hydraulic pump or two different pumps.
The arm cylinder hydraulic system
The rotation hydraulic systemThe main components of the arm cylinder hydraulic system are the pump (1), the control valve (2), the hydraulic tank (4), the rotary manifold (6), and the cylinder (13) .The main components of the rotation hydraulic system are the pump (1), the control valve (3), the relief valves (7) and (10), and the motor (13) .Note: Pump (1), control valve (2), control valve (3), and hydraulic tank (4) are components of the machine. These items are not discussed in this section. Refer to the machine Service Manual for more information.

The rotator motor (13) is mounted on the ring gear housing. Rotator motor (13) is driven by hydraulic oil. The hydraulic oil is diverted to the motor by the control valve on the machine. The rotator motor (13) provides the necessary force in order to rotate the Pulverizerto the right and to the left.Relief valves (7) and (10) are designed to relieve system pressure in the rotation hydraulic system. The relief valve pressure setting is 17000 kPa (2465 psi).

Cylinder (12) is a double acting cylinder. Cylinder (12) provides the necessary force in order to operate the arm effectively.Note: Cylinder (12) is independent in operation of the rotation hydraulic system.Note: The small Pulverizers have only one hydraulic cylinder. The larger Pulverizers have two hydraulic cylinders.

Rotary manifold (6) is mounted to the center of the ring gear housing. The rotary manifold (6) allows the crusher to rotate 360 degrees which prevents the crusher cylinder lines from damage. The rotary manifold (6) provides the necessary transfer of hydraulic oil to the lower portion of the crusher.
