There may be several specific symbols on the Generator Set Start Module. The descriptions of the symbols are reviewed in this section. Become familiar with all of the symbols.Ensure that all of the symbols are legible. Clean the symbols or replace the symbols if the words cannot be read or if the illustrations are not visible. Use a cloth, water, and soap to clean the symbols. Do not use solvents, gasoline, or other harsh chemicals. Solvents, gasoline, or harsh chemicals could loosen the adhesive that secures the symbols. The symbols that are loosened could drop off the Generator Set Start Module.Replace any symbol that is damaged or missing. If a symbol was attached to part of the Generator Set Start Module that was replaced, install a new symbol on the replacement part. Your Caterpillar dealer can provide new symbols.
