Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolt (3).
Remove cover (4) from the lifting brackets.Note: The lifting brackets should be removed immediately after the engine commissioning.
Illustration 3 g00538157Note: The Gas Valve (X) and the tube assemblies must be removed in order to remove the lifting brackets. Shut OFF the external source of fuel before you begin this procedure.
Remove nuts (2).
Remove lifting bracket (1).Note: Store the lifting brackets in a clean dry place. Do not install the lifting brackets until the engine needs to be lifted.Installation Procedure
Put Tooling (A) on the threads of the cylinder head studs.Note: Install the lifting brackets on a G3606 Engine between the following cylinders:
the number 1 cylinder and the number 2 cylinder
the number 5 cylinder and the number 6 cylinderNote: Install the lifting brackets on a G3608 Engine between the following cylinders:
the number 1 cylinder and the number 2 cylinder
the number 7 cylinder and the number 8 cylinder
Put lifting bracket (1) in position on the cylinder head studs.
Install nuts (2). Tighten each nut to a torque of 2150 250 N m (1585 185 lb ft).
Install the gas valve and the tube assemblies. Turn ON the external fuel supply.
