Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Mark the three turbocharger housings for alignment upon assembly.
Remove bolts (2). Note: The blades on the compressor wheel have sharp edges. Handle with care.
Remove compressor housing (1) and diffuser (3) from cartridge assembly (4). The weight of the compressor housing is approximately 65 kg (144 lb).
Remove bolts (6). Note: The blades on the turbine wheel have sharp edges. Handle with care.
Remove turbine housing (7) and nozzle ring (5) from cartridge assembly (4). The weight of the turbine housing is approximately 125 kg (276 lb). The weight of the cartridge assembly is approximately 185 kg (408 lb).
