A new tightening procedure is used in order to increase the clamping force of the rocker arm shaft. Refer to Steps 1 through 3 that are located below in order to perform the new tightening procedure.

Sequence for bolt tightening
Lubricate the bolts with engine oil before assembly.
Install the bolts and torque the bolts to 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 1 for the proper tightening sequence.
The bolts must be tightened an additional 45 degrees 5 degrees. Refer to Illustration 1 for the proper tightening sequence.
