Preparation Procedure
Observe the safe working load limits of all lifting and blocking devices and keep a safe distance from suspended/blocked loads. Personnel may be seriously injured or killed by falling loads.

A view of the front radiator assembly on the main frame with the cross brace locations indicated.
Remove the cross beam 447-9194 Bracket that is installed for shipping stability that goes between the two locations indicated in Illustration 1. Also remove the two braces going from the cross beam to the radiator. The bracket weights approximately 119 kg (263 lb).

A view of the front support rods
Install two suitable adjustable lifting devices on each side of the machine to support the two rods so the rods are not moving freely during the lifting. When the rods are secured to the front axle, the adjustable lifting devices will be used to position the rods correctly.

If not already installed, install the four 431-8390 Lifting Eyes on the four corners of the platform.

If not already installed, install two lifting 462-2907 Plates on both sides of the rear axle assembly.
