Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for more information on lubricant specifications.
Note: Check the oil. Many engines are shipped without oil.
Operate the engine until normal operating temperature is achieved. Stop the engine. Remove one of the drain plugs for the engine crankcase. Allow the engine oil to drain.
Remove the used engine oil filter. Install the drain plug for the engine crankcase. Tighten the drain plug for the engine crankcase to 70 14 N m (50 10 lb ft).Note: The engine may be equipped with auxiliary engine oil filters. The extra filters require more engine oil than the standard amounts. Refer to the OEM specifications.
Clean the sealing surface of the filter mounting base. Ensure that all of the old oil filter gasket is removed.
Apply clean engine oil to the new oil filter gasket.
Install the oil filter. Tighten the oil filter until the oil filter gasket contacts the base. Tighten the oil filter by hand according to the instructions that
