Tightening sequence for flange of the turbochargerUse the following procedure to tighten the locknuts for the flange of the turbocharger:Note: Apply 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound to the washer face and threads of the locknuts before assembly.
Tighten locknut 1 through locknut 4 in a numerical sequence to 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft). Refer to 2.

Again, tighten the clamp assembly to 13.5 1.0 N m (120 9 lb in). (6) Torque for the compressor clamp assembly ... 15.9 1.0 N m (140 9 lb in)Use the following procedure to tighten the clamp assembly (5) for the 251-4840 Turbocharger Gp and 251-4841 Turbocharger Gp :
Tighten the clamp assembly to 18 N m (160 lb in).
Loosen the clamp assembly to 6 N m (55 lb in).
Again, tighten the clamp assembly to 15.9 1 N m (141 9 lb in). (6) Torque for the compressor clamp assembly ... 15.9 1.0 N m (140 9 lb in)
