G3406 (4FD) EnginesDescription of Change: The magneto group used on this engine has been changed to include an O-ring seal groove in the magneto housing mounting flange and an O-ring seal. Formerly, a gasket was used between the magneto group and the governor drive housing. The use of O-ring seal in this location will help prevent oil leaks.Adaptable To: The part number of the improved 109-8912 Magneto Group has not changed. The 6V-1196 O-Ring Seal must be used with the improved (O-ring groove in magneto mounting flange) magneto group. The O-ring seal should not be used on earlier (without O-ring seal groove) magneto groups. The 6L-5270 Gasket should be used on earlier (without O-ring seal groove) magneto groups.
