PROBLEM
Certain 793F Off-Highway Truck frame rework programs will require additional labor time to over and above those hours allocated to complete the update. Due to conditions at the customers work site, additional labor may be necessary to disassemble and assemble the machine to perform the rework or for welding / NDT support.

ACTION REQUIRED
When reassembly and re-commissioning is necessary, 3rd party welding or additional labor, and 3rd party NDT are required at customer site, then use this specific Service Letter to claim for additional compensation as per the Service Claim Allowance.

Payment amount will be determined by the following terms:
-When applicable, 3rd party NDT to be claimed as a miscellaneous expense. Caterpillar will reimburse up to $2000 CAD. Attach invoice to the claim.
-An additional $2500 CAD can be claimed for cleaning and prepping center tube.
-An additional $3000 CAD can be claimed for weld supplies. Attach invoices to claim.
-Additional labor can be claimed for welding overages due to repair of OEM casting defects or weld imperfections. Caterpillar will reimburse dealer at warranty rate for a maximum of 50 hours.
-Additional labor can be claimed for disassembly and assembly and commissioning. Caterpillar will reimburse dealer at warranty rate for a maximum of 26 hours.
