2-2 Function
The pump drive gear accelerates (i=1.267) the revolutions input from the engine and transmits them to pumps.(1) Gear case (1) Gear case (1) is a housing which holds all gears having a mating section for engine mounting and mounting bolt holes, and also serves as an oil bath to hold gear oil.(2) Input shaft (3) Transmits power input from the engine to driven gear (4) via spline.(3) Driven gear (4) Transmits revolutions and torque transmitted from input shaft (3) to driven gears (5).(4) Driven gear (5) Accelerates revolutions transmitted from driven gear (4) and transmits it to the main pump and swing pump drive shaft.(5) Bearing case (6) Supports ball bearing (18) and driven gear (5), and serves as the mating section for main pump and swing pump mounting.2-3 Operation
The pump drive gear consists of an input shaft (3) linked to the engine at the center and driven gear (4) mounted on the input shaft. Power of the engine is transmitted to driven gear (5) from input shaft and drive gear. The engine revolutions is transmitted to the output side (pump side) after being accelerated by driven gears (4) and (5) with their gear ratios.
