Pressurized air can cause personal injury. The air supply lines are pressurized to 830 kPa (120 psi).Purge the air from the system before performing any maintenance to the air system.
The following example describes the air pressures in a normal operating system.
The pressure in the air supply line to the autolube solenoid valve should always be equal to the air pressure of the machine air system. The maximum air pressure for the machine air system is approximately 860 35 kPa (125 5 psi).
There should be no air pressure in the air supply line to the air regulator (2) until the autolube solenoid valve is energized by the VIMS controller and the machine control module. When the autolube solenoid valve is energized, the air pressure in the air supply line to the air regulator (2) is 860 35 kPa (125 5 psi).
The air pressure that is flowing from the air regulator (2) should be approximately 500 kPa (73 psi). This air pressure is supplied to the air pump (1) and the vent valve (3) .
