GENERATOR GP 2457390 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect two fuel lines (1) from the fuel filter.2. Disconnect two fuel lines (2) from the priming pump. 3. Loosen two hose clamps (3). Slide hose (4) to left. 4. Disconnect wire (5) from the sending unit. 5. Fasten a hoist to bracket assembly (6).6. Remove four bolts (7) and bracket assembly (6). The weight of the bracket assembly is 54 lb. (24 kg). 7. Disconnect two fuel lines (8) from the engine support. 8. Remove four bolts (9) and support bracket (10). 9. Install tooling (A) as shown. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A).10. Remove bolts (11) that hold the flywheel housing to the cylinder block. Remove the flywheel housing and gasket. The weight of the flywheel is 86 lb. (39 kg).Install Flywheel Housing
1. Put tooling (A) in position on flywheel housing (2) as shown. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A).2. Install two guide bolts (3) 7/16"-14 NC x 8 in. long as shown.3. Put gasket (1) in position as shown.4. Put clean engine oil on the crankshaft rear wear sleeve and seal.5. Install the flywheel housing and the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 65 11 lb.ft. (90 15 N m). 6. Install support bracket (4) and the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 150 20 lb.ft. (205 25 N m). 7. Connect two fuel lines (5). 8. Put support assembly (6) in position on the flywheel housing and install the bolts.9. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 150 20 lb.ft. (205 25 N m). 10. Connect wire (7) to the sending unit. 11. Put hose (9) in position and install hose clamps (8). 12. Connect two fuel lines (10) to the fuel filter.13. Connect fuel lines (11) to the priming pump.end by:a) install oil panb) install flywheel
