When Tooling (G) can slide into both Tooling (E) and Tooling (H), the axle housing and the engine are in alignment. If necessary, adjust the position of the engine in order to achieve alignment.

Remove Tooling (H) and Tooling (G) .

Remove Tooling (F) and Tooling (E) .

Install seal (25) (not shown), washer (24), and bolt (23) .

Note: Assemble the end of bearing (13) that has a radius toward the shoulder of yoke assembly (9) .
Install bearing (11), spacer (12), bearing (13), and spacer (14) to yoke assembly (9) .
Use Tooling (C) to install retaining ring (10) to yoke assembly (9) .

Install yoke assembly (9) .

Note: Prior to the installation of tube assembly (8), place a dial indicator on the face of the yoke assembly. Indicate the outside diameter of yoke of the transfer gear. This reading must not exceed 5 mm (0.2 inch) total indicator reading.
Use two people in order to position tube assembly (8). The weight of tube assembly (8) is approximately 24 kg (52 lb). Install bolts (7). Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 435 20 N m (321 15 lb ft).

Attach a suitable lifting device to drive shaft (6). Install drive shaft (6). The weight of drive shaft (6) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).

Remove Tooling (A) from drive shaft (6) .

Use Tooling (C) to install retaining ring (5) to drive shaft (6) .

Install cover (4) .

Connect harness assembly (2). Position harness assembly (2) and install the clips.
