Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Open access door (8) on the left side of the machine.

Right Side of Auxiliary Valve
Assemble Tool (B). Install Tool (B) in port "G1" (9) of the auxiliary valve. Connect Tool (B) to Tool (A) .
Move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch actuation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).
Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should decrease to 1000 50 rpm.
Monitor pressure at port "G1" (9) on Tool (A). The pressure should be 4830 345 kPa (700 50 psi).
Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
If the pressure is within the specified range, go to Step 23. If the pressure is not within the specified range, go to Step 20.

Loosen lock nut (10) on the pressure reducing valve. In order to increase pressure, rotate adjustment screw (11) clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate adjustment screw (11) counter clockwise.
Hold adjustment screw (11) in place and tighten lock nut (10) .
Go to Step 13.
Remove the tooling. Close access door (8) .
