Information:
Improper operation of an access platform could result in injury or death.Operators must carry out their duties properly and follow all instructions and guidelines given for the machine and access platform.
When the machine is operated from an access platform, the time for lowering a fully raised boom to the TRAVEL position should be between 60 seconds and 70 seconds. A procedure for testing the boom speed and a procedure for adjusting the boom speed are provided in this topic.Note: When the boom is lowered, the switch for the boom speed is ineffective. The boom will only lower at the slow speed regardless of the switch position. Before you perform the procedure, you must understand the operation of the machine from an access platform. Refer to the following information:
Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7111, "Access Platform"
Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7111, "Access Platform Control"
Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7111, "Before Operation"Test
