Check the route for vertical and horizontal clearances with the machine loaded on the transport vehicle. Ensure that the combination of machine and transport vehicle complies with local laws and regulations along the entire route.Remove ice, snow or other slippery materials from the transport vehicle, rail car or loading dock before loading the machine.Always block the transport vehicle or rail car wheels before loading the machine.The boom must be fully retracted and the attachment carriage must be fully lowered.Engage the parking brake and leave the gear selector and direction selector in neutral.Stop the engine and remove the start key. Install suitable tie-downs at the four locations provided and block the wheels. If it is necessary to lift the machine, use the four lifting points provided.If in doubt, consult your Caterpillar dealer for more information.
