Disassembly
1. Remove bolts and take off housing cover. (See Figure 1).
Figure 1.2. Take off washer, outer and inner discs, the first pressure ring, and the first axle bevel gear. (See Figure 2).
Figure 2.3. Remove the differential axles from the housing together with the bevel gears. (See Figure 3).

Differential Housing
Check run-up surfaces for the washer for wear and distress. Look for wear on guide grooves for outer disc and pressure rings.Housing Cover
Check run-up surfaces for the washer for wear and distress.Pressure Ring
Check the guide noses and run-up surfaces for wear and pitting. Pressure rings must move easily in the differential housing.Axle Bevel Gears
Check the run-up surfaces for the washers for wear. The inner discs must move easily on the toothing of the axle bevel gears.Discs
Inspect inner and outer discs for wear. Guide noses of the outer discs and the toothing of the inner discs must not be damaged.Washers
Check the washers for wear. Some evidence of wear is normal, but excessive wear requires replacement.Assembly
1. Before assembling, lubricate all running surfaces of the discs, the pressure rings and the differential axles with gear oil.2. Place the housing on a bench with the large bore up. Install the disc face down in the housing. (See Figure 5).
Figure 5.3. Install the outer discs and inner discs in the housing. Be sure to install the discs in the same order that they were in when removed, making sure that one outer disc is placed against the housing and one is against the cover. (See Figure 6).
