Typical Example1. Remove hood (1) from the machine. The weight of the hood is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Typical Example2. Fasten a hoist to counterweight (2) as shown. Remove the four bolts and spacers that hold the counterweight to the frame of the machine. Remove counterweight (2). The weight of the counterweight is approximately 4536 kg (10000 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the counterweight.3. Fasten a hoist to counterweight (2), and put it in position on the frame of the machine. Do not remove the hoist until the bolts and spacers which hold the counterweight to the frame have been installed.4. Apply 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the mounting bolts for the counterweight. Install the four spacers and mounting bolts that hold the counterweight. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 1575 155 N m (1160 115 lb ft).5. Reinstall hood (1) on the machine.
