GENERATOR GP 5089233 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the sheet metal guard over the carriage control valve.2. Identify and disconnect three electric plugs (1) from solenoid valves (3), (4) and (5).3. Remove four bolts (2) and remove tilt solenoid valve (3) from manifold block (7). Remove auxiliary solenoid valves (4) and (5).4. Disconnect eight hydraulic lines (6) from manifold block (7). 5. Remove six bolts (8) and remove manifold block (7). Remove double check valve plugs (9). 6. After removing plugs (9), remove check valve groups (10) and then remove piston (11). The following steps are for the installation of the carriage control valve.7. Inspect seals and replace if necessary. Install piston (11) and be sure it travels to the bottom of it's bore as indicated in the illustration.8. Position check valve groups (10) as illustrated and install plugs (9).9. Position manifold block (7) and install bolts (8). Connect eight hydraulic lines (6) to the manifold block.10. Position solenoid valves (3), (4) and (5) and install bolts (2). Connect three electrical plugs (1) to their proper location.11. Install sheet metal guard.
