Input Sensitivity
The flow analyzer has adjustable input sensitivity for the flow meter input signal. Provided on the circuit assembly is a 25 turn 5000 ohm potentiometer. Adjustment of this potentiometer varies the sensitivity range from approximately 950 mV peak to peak down to 15 mV peak to peak. Factory setting is at 20 mV peak to peak.A clockwise adjustment will increase the sensitivity, allowing a signal with less amplitude to operate the unit. Caution should be used so that the sensitivity will not be adjusted to the point that electrical noise would be counted along with the signal pulses.A counterclockwise adjustment will decrease the sensitivity. In other words, a larger input signal would be required to operate the unit. Some electrically "noisy" areas may require that this adjustment be done so that the noise be eliminated from the signal processing.Priming the Pump
The pump case should be filled with liquid whenever:* The pump is being used for the first time.* The liquid in the pump case has evaporated. Remove the fill plug at the top of the pump case.Fill the case to the plug opening.Install the plug.The pump is self priming and should prime and reprime itself when necessary as long as the pump case is filled with liquid.
