Remove the crankshaft rear seal. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Rear Seal - Remove".
Remove the electric starting motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (1) that fasten the engine oil pan to flywheel housing (2).

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on flywheel housing (2). The weight of flywheel housing (2) is approximately 35 kg (77 lb).
Remove bolts (3). Remove flywheel housing (2) and the seals from the cylinder block. Installation Procedure

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on flywheel housing (2). The weight of flywheel housing (2) is approximately 35 kg (77 lb).
Install the seals in flywheel housing (2).
Apply Tooling (B) to the bottom of the flywheel housing in order to fill the space at the cylinder block, the flywheel housing, and the engine oil pan.
Position flywheel housing (2) on the cylinder block. Install bolts (3).

Tighten the bolts, as follows:
In a numerical sequence, tighten Bolt (1) through Bolt (9) to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
In a numerical sequence, tighten Bolt (10) through Bolt (24) to a torque of 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft).
In a numerical sequence, tighten Bolt (1) through Bolt (9) to a torque of 135 20 N m (100 15 lb ft).
In a numerical sequence, tighten Bolt (10) through Bolt (24) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).
