Remove O-ring seals (40) from head (38).
Remove piston guide (42) and plunger guide (41) from head (38) .
Remove bearing cup (43) and spacer (44) from head (38) .
Remove pin (45) from head (38) .

Remove O-ring seal (50) from pump housing (39).
Remove spring (48) and control piston (49) from the swashplate assembly.
Remove port plate (51) from the barrel.Note: Note the notch in port plate (51). The notch must align with pin (45) during assembly.
Remove bearing cone (47) from the pump shaft. Remove the shims.Note: Bearing cone (47) is a slip fit. No tooling is required for removal.

Move housing (39) to the horizontal position.
Remove shaft (52), swashplate (53), and rotating assembly (54) as a unit. Note: Note the orientation of swashplate (53) in order to allow correct installation.

Remove shaft (52) from swashplate (53).
Remove swashplate (53) from rotating assembly (54) .

Place a mark on pistons (55) prior to removal from barrel (57) .
Remove pistons (55) .
Remove reaction plate (56) .

Remove retainer (58). Note three pins (59) in barrel (57) .Note: Pins (59) will be removed in a later step. Use care not to damage pins (59). The pump will not assemble properly if pins (59) are damaged.

Remove two bearing sleeves (60) from housing (39) .Note: Note the orientation of bearing sleeves (60) .
Remove bearing cup (61) from housing (39) .

Rotate housing (39) to the other side. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (62) .
Remove seal (63) .

Install Tooling (B) on shaft (52). Place shaft (52) in a suitable press. Remove bearing cone (64) .

Position barrel (57) in a suitable press, as shown. Use Tooling (C) and the press in order to compress spring (64).
Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (65) from barrel (57) .

Remove pins (59). Remove spring (66) and remove disc (67) from barrel (57) .
