Safety PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR REPLACINGTHE TOP THROTTLE BODY GASKET ON CERTAIN G3412C GAS ENGINES

This Program must be administered assoon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10227" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI10227" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. This Revised Service Letter replacesthe July 23, 2003 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the AffectedProduct.PROBLEM
The gasket on certain G3412C Gas Engines needsto be replaced. The current top throttle body gasket leaks fuel and airinto the atmosphere. The current gasket can not seal the joint faces betweenthe fasteners at the connection between the throttle body and air/fueltube on G3412C Gas Engines.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Rework Procedure
Remove the throttle body and discard the existingtop and bottom gaskets.
Install a 5D5958 O-Ring Seal in the groove onthe bottom joint face of the throttle body along with a new 4W7992 gasket.
Install a 2312953 integral seal on top of thethrottle body and complete the installation of the fuel/air line.
