Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Position Tooling (A) and suitable blocking under torque converter housing (5).
Install Tooling (B), Tooling (C), and a suitable lifting device to transmission assembly (6). The weight of transmission assembly (6) is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb).
Position transmission assembly (6) and install nuts (4). Position suitable blocking under transmission assembly (6).

Install the lockup clutch and solenoid valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Lockup Clutch and Solenoid Valve (Torque Converter) - Install".
