Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Use Tooling (A) to remove water separator (2) from water separator base (1) .
Disconnect hose assemblies (3). Plug and cap all openings.
Remove the bolts and water separator base (1) .Installation Procedure

Position water separator base (1) on the engine and install the bolts.
Connect hose assemblies (3) .
Use Tooling (A) to install new water separator (2) .
