Installation Procedure

Install bridges (4) on the cylinder head. Position the round pocket toward the outside of the engine. Lubricate pushrods (3) with clean engine oil. Install pushrods (3) . Seat pushrods (3) in the lifter cups.Note: Ensure that the pushrods are seated in the bores. Use a flashlight in order to ensure that the pushrods are in the lifter cups.

Position rocker shaft assembly (2) in the dowel holes. Install bolts (1) . Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 200 30 N m (147 22 lb ft).
Adjust the valve lash. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust" and Specifications, "Valve Mechanism".
Lubricate bridges (4) and the pockets with clean engine oil.End By: Install the valve cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Cover - Remove and Install".
