System Startup Procedure
Note: If the system is being started for the first time or after a failure, a system startup must be performed by a qualified technician. Contact your technical communicator for assistance.

Apply facility power to each MMS bypass input, if equipped
Apply facility power to each MMS input
Connect each MMS to the output bus.
Confirm that the system is in bypass by observing the system mode status line on the touchscreen display.
Turn each system cabinet key switch to the Online position.
Turn each MMU key switch to the Online position.
The system will enter the "Bypassed-Auto Start" state. The system will begin to charge the flywheel. When the flywheel reaches 4000 RPM, the system shifts to "Online" mode. The system is operational.

Confirming system online/load protected - system diagram/overview screen
Confirm that the system is "Online" by observing the "System Diagram/Overview" screen. The screen will appear as in Illustration 2.System Bypass Procedure
Continuing with this procedure will disconnect the critical load on the output of the UPS.
Turn the system cabinet key switch to the Bypass position
Turn each MMU key switch to the Bypass position.
Confirm that the system is in "Bypass" by observing the system mode status in the "System Diagram/Overview" screen.Note: Do not remove facility power from the input.
Allow the capacitor banks to purge for approximately 5 minutes to dissipate any residual energy in the bus and armature leads.Removing the System from Bypass
Turn each MMU key switch to the Online position.
Turn each system cabinet key switch to the Online position.
Confirm that the system is "Online" by observing the system mode status line.
