PROBLEM
The hydraulic pump may have a slow response on certain 416E Backhoe Loaders. The problem occurs at activation of the implements. While the control levers are activated, the implements will hesitate for a short time. The hesitation is most noticeable after the control levers are neutralized for 5 to 10 seconds, and then after a control lever is activated. The implement hesitates for 0.5 to 3 seconds before the implement starts to move.

Add one quart of 1U-9891 Hydraulic Oil Friction Modifier to hydraulic tank.
Before Failure: Add one quart of the 1U-9891 Hydraulic Friction Modifier. If the 1U-9891 is added before a complaint is raised by the customer, added at PDI, or before delivery use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code.
After Failure: Add one quart of the 1U-9891 Hydraulic Friction Modifier. If the 1U-9891 is added after a complaint is raised by the customer use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
