The Machine Electronic Control System provides electronic control of the hydraulic system. The system includes the following components: various inputs (switches and sensors), an electronic control module and various outputs (solenoid valves). The electronic control module (ECM) controls the flow of the swing pump. The ECM also controls the following functions:
Track travel motors
Attachment Actuators
Travel alarm
Implement pump power shift pressure
Swashplate angle of the swing pump
Engine Speed
Boom cylinders
Stick cylinders
Bucket cylinders
Swing motorThe Machine ECM receives signals from the various input devices that are shown on illustration 1. The ECM makes decisions that are based on this information. The ECM acts on these decisions by actuating proportional solenoids, ON/OFF solenoids and relays.
