Put brake pedals (5) against stops (6); adjust 5V7061 Rods (4) as shown in step two following. (2) Adjust rods (4) to the lengths necessary so dimension (X) [dimension (X) is approximately 7.5" (195)] for the right and left pins is equal within .12" (3) when bellcranks (7) and (10) make contact with bellcranks (8) and (9) at surface (A) as shown in section B-B. Bellcranks (10) and (7) must also be in contact with bar (11); the pins must assemble freely and clearance at point (A) or bar (11) must not be more than .0004" (0.01). Tighten the locknuts on each rod. (3) Turn screws (12) clockwise to a torque of 20 lb.ft. (27 N m). With pedals (2) against the stops on the dash, adjust turnbuckles (13) to the shortest rod length that will permit a slip fit of the pins through levers (14), when the levers are pulled forward to remove the clearance in the internal linkage. Turn screws (12) out one and one-quarter turns. (4) Tighten screws (15) to a torque of 5 lb.ft. (6.8 N m), then loosen screws (15) five and one-half turns.
