START BY:a. remove radiator1. Drain the hydraulic tank, and shut off the fuel supply.2. Remove the operator station floor plates.3. Put identification on all wires, tubes and hoses prior to disconnecting or removing. 4. Disconnect tube (1) from the air cleaner elbow, and fuel line hoses (4) from the fuel line tubes. Remove the bolts that fasten the fuel hose bracket to the flywheel housing.5. Remove muffler (2).6. Disconnect governor linkage from lever (3). Remove linkage mounting bracket (6) from the cylinder block.7. Disconnect wiring harnesses (5) and (8) from the alternator and the sending unit.8. Loosen hose clamp (7) and disconnect radiator lower hose. 9. Disconnect water temperature sending unit (9) and tube assembly (10).10. Disconnect electric starter motor wires (11), and cylinder block to frame ground strap (12).11. Remove all bolts and clamps that secure wiring harnesses in the engine compartment. Remove the wiring harness from the engine. 12. Disconnect tube assembly (13) at the flywheel housing.13. Place wooden blocks (14) under the transmission for support. 14. Install tooling (A) and a hoist on the engine.15. Remove the bolts that fasten air cleaner bracket (15) to the transmission. 16. Remove engine mounting bolt assemblies (16) from each side of the engine. 17. Remove the transmission to flywheel mounting bolts (17).18. Remove the engine from the vehicle. The weight of the engine is approximately 653 kg (1450 lb.).Install Engine
1. Using tooling (A) and a hoist, install engine in vehicle chassis. 2. Install transmission to flywheel housing mounting bolts (1). Install ground strap (2) to the flywheel housing. 3. Install engine mounting bolt assemblies (3). 4. Connect tube assembly (4) to flywheel housing. Remove transmission support blocks (5). 5. Connect water temperature sending unit (6) and tube assembly (8).6. Install wiring harnesses support clips (7), and connect the starter wires (9). 7. Connect the wiring harness to the alternator and install radiator lower hose (15).8. Connect fuel line hose (12) to the tube assemblies. Install the fuel hose support bracket to the flywheel housing.9. Install governor linkage (14) to the lever. Install the linkage support bracket (13) to the cylinder block.10. Install wiring harness (16) on the sending unit.11. Install the air cleaner mounting bolts to the transmission. Connect tube assembly (10) to the air cleaner elbow.12. Install muffler (11) and the operator station floor plates.13. Fill hydraulic tank to specified level. See the Maintenance Guide.END BY:a. install radiator
