Before assembly of the camshaft to the cylinder block, apply a thin coat of green 8T-2998 Lubricant to the outer diameter of each camshaft journal and camshaft bearing.
1 1 375-5133 Thrust Washer Before assembly, apply green 8T-2998 Lubricant to the sides of the thrust washer. Apply a thin coat of green 8T-2998 Lubricant to the area of the camshaft bearing that is in contact with the groove of the thrust washer.
Thickness of new thrust washer is 8.50 0.05 mm (0.335 0.002 inch).
Width of the groove in new camshaft for thrust washer is 8.75 0.05 mm (0.344 0.002 inch).
A - - Diameter of the camshaft journal is 91.88 0.02 mm (3.617 0.001 inch).
2 8 2Y-5829 Nut Torque to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

1. Measure camshaft lobe height (D).
2. Measure the base circle (E).
3. Subtract the base circle (E) from the camshaft lobe height (D). The difference is the actual camshaft lobe lift (C).
C - - Specified camshaft lobe lift for:
Inlet lobe is 12.448 mm (0.4901 inch).
Exhaust lobe is 17.184 mm (0.6765 inch).
