Air Cylinder For Control Valve
AIR CYLINDER FOR HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE
1. Lever (on hydraulic control valve). 2. Yoke. 3. Locknut (on air cylinder rod). 4. Pin.1. Loosen the air line connections, on the air cylinder, enough to let air go in or out of the loose connections.2. Loosen locknut (3) on the air cylinder rod. Remove the cotter pin from pin (4) and remove the pin from yoke (2) and lever (1).3. Move lever (1), forward, to the FLOAT position. The detents in the hydraulic valve will keep the lever in FLOAT position.4. Pull the rod out of the air cylinder as far as it will go.5. Turn yoke (2) on the rod, either counterclockwise or clockwise, until pin (4) will freely slide through the holes in yoke (2) and lever (1). Install the cotter pin in pin (4) and tighten locknut (3) against yoke (2).6. Tighten the loose air line connection on the air cylinder.Air Compressor Governor Adjustment
Install a test air pressure gauge in the air system between the air compressor and the pressure regulator valve.Start the engine and look at the test air pressure gauge as the pressure in the air system increases. The air compressor governor must "cutout" at approximately 120 psi (8.4 kg/cm2) (828 kPa). Make a record of the high air pressure reading on the test gauge but do not stop the engine. Look at the air pressure gauge and push down the brake pedal and release the pedal, push down and release the pedal again and again. The low air pressure reading on the test gauge must be approximately 20 psi (1.4 kg/cm2) (138 kPa) less than the record of the high air pressure reading. The low air pressure reading is immediately before the governor "cut-in" operates and the air pressure increases again. If the difference between the governor "cut-in and cutout" air pressure is too much, a new air compressor governor must be installed.Make a comparison of the approximately 120 psi (8.4 kg/cm2) (828 kPa) high reading on the test gauge with the air pressure reading on the gauge on the tractor. If the gauge on the tractor is not the same as the test gauge, either install a new air pressure gauge or mark an indication for the correct air pressure on the tractor air pressure gauge. If the governor "cutout" is more than 5 psi (0.4 kg/cm2) (34.5 kPa) either above or below 120 psi (8.4 kg/cm2) (828 kPa) the air compressor governor needs an adjustment.Remove cover (1) from the governor, loosen locknut (2) and turn adjustment screw (3) either counterclockwise to increase or clockwise to decrease the "cutout" pressure of the governor. One turn of adjustment screw (2) will change the "cutout" pressure approximately 20 psi (0.4 kg/cm2) (138 kPa).
GOVERNOR REMOVED FROM AIR COMPRESSOR
1. Cover. 2. Locknut. 3. Adjustment screw.Disconnect The Tractors
1. Move the machine to level ground, lower the blade to the ground and put blocks around the blade so that it will not tip. Disconnect the tilt braces from
