Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (1) from leading arm (2). Remove bearing (3) from leading arm (2).

Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (4) to leading arm (2) .

Use Tooling (B) to install bearing (3) to leading arm (2). Install the bearing until the bearing is seated against retaining ring (4) .
