LGP 914 mm (36 inch) D6R/T VPAT machines have various shoe configurations due to clearance requirements with the blade C-frame. Shoes for VPAT machines may be either offset or non-offset. It is necessary to verify existing overall shoe width and offset amount prior to ordering or modifying new shoes.The minimum recommended clearance between track shoes and the nearest point of the tractor is 50.8 mm (2.0 inch)If creating offset track shoes, the maximum difference between inboard width and outboard width from the shoe center line is 50.8 mm (2 inch).Reference Special Instruction, M0068354, "Guidelines For Narrowing Track Shoe Width Or Clipping Grouser Corners" when modifying track shoes.
