GOVERNOR AND FUEL INJECTION PUMP GROUP 6N0270 - Caterpillar

1. Fasten a hoist and remove the hoods over the engine and transmission. Weight of the hood over the engine is 24 kg (53 lb.). Weight of the hood over the transmission is 35 kg (77 lb.).2. Remove the muffler.3. Remove pipe (1).4. Loosen clamp (2) that holds the compressor housing to the cartridge. 5. Remove the cotter pin and pin (5). Remove bolts (4) and lifting eye (3). 6. Loosen clamp (9) and remove bolt (7). Remove breather (6) from the valve cover.7. Remove lead (8) for the glow plugs from the valve cover. 8. Put a mark on compressor housing (11) and the cartridge. Loosen clamp (12). Turn the compressor housing up so the valve cover can be removed.9. Remove bolts (13) and valve cover (10).
