At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oils can cause burns.To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the work tool hydraulic circuit (boom, stick, bucket, and swing), travel circuits, and the hydraulic oil tank at the filler cap before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped and the filler cap is cool enough to touch.
Release the hydraulic pressure.
Drain the hydraulic oil. The capacity of the hydraulic system is 996 L (263 US gal).

Disconnect hose assembly (1).

Disconnect wiring harness (3) and remove bolts (4).

Install tooling (A) and a hoist to filter housing (5). Remove bolts (6) and filter housing (5). The weight of the filter housing is approximately 30 kg (65 lb). Dual Filters

Loosen the clamps and slide hose (3) downward.

Disconnect wiring harnesses (4) and (5). Remove bolts (6).

Install Tooling (A) and a hoist to filter housings (7) and (8). Remove bolts (9) and (10) and remove the filter housings. The combined weight of the filter housings is approximately 59 kg (130 lb).
