Engine News SEBD9728, September 2011, "New Bolts and Spacers Are Used on the Water Manifolds of Certain Marine Engines ". Disregard the previous article. Refer to the article that follows. Item number 3 under the first Illustration has been updated to show the correct part number of the bolt.Description of Change: The new bolt and spacer combination has improved bolt load retention on the manifold.Adaptable To: The new 6V-5221 Bolts, 6V-9607 Bolt, and 198-4776 Hard Washers are a direct replacement for the existing 5P-8347 Bolts, 6V-3821 Bolt, and 9M-1974 Hard Washers. The new bolts and spacers are used when replacing the 118-2797 Gaskets. Refer to Table 1 for the quantities that are needed.
