This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1349" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1349" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Problem
There have been failures of the front yoke, of the ROPS structure and of various components due to early decoupling of the vibratory drum on certain CB535B Compactors. There have been also failures of the steering pivot.

Rework Procedure
- REMOVE THE EXISTING FRONT YOKE AND STEERING PIVOT.- INSTALL THE NEW PIVOT 138-0623. (REFER TO VIEW 5).- INSTALL THE NEW YOKE 146-0666.- INSTALL THE NEW RELIEF VALVE 137-6259 ON THE OFFSET CYLINDER MANIFOLD. ( REFER TO VIEW: 4)FRONT WATER TANK SUPPORT MODIFICATION
- FLAME CUT THE UPPER EDGE OF THE FRONT PLATE. (REFER TO VIEW: 1)- WELD THE CHANNEL. THE CHANNEL MUST BE PLUGGED AT BOTH ENDS WITH A PLATE AND WELDED ALL AROUND. (REFER TO VIEW: 2)- INSTALL THE WATER TANK IN THE FRONT SUPPORT.- INSTALL THE STRAP 149-1257. (REFER TO VIEW: 3)PRESSURES AND FLOW SETTING
- SET THE REAR CENTER WHEEL PRESSURE. REFER TO O&M FOR PROCEDURE.- SET THE STEERING PRESSURE AT 13500 KPA (1958 PSI). THE RELIEF VALVE IS LOCATED ON THE S.C.U. THE PRESSURE GAGE MUST BE INSTALLED ON ONE STEERING CYLINDER LINE.- SET THE OFFSET PRESSURE AT 15000 KPA (2200 PSI).- SET THE OFFSET SPEED SUCH AS THE TIME FROM STOP TO STOP IS THE FOLLOWING (REFER TO VIEW: 4):- LEFT TO RIGHT BETWEEN 7 AND 10 SEC.- RIGHT TO LEFT BETWEEN 5 AND 8 SEC.
