Remove Tooling (B) and Tooling (C). Refer to Special Instruction , REHS7983, "Generator Storage and Rotation Requirements for AC Drive Motors used on Large Off-Highway Trucks".

Failure to follow the recommended procedure or the specified tooling that is required for the procedure could result in damage to components.To avoid component damage, follow the recommended procedure using the recommended tools.
Install Tooling (A) onto electric motor (18). Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1075 for further explanation of the tooling involved during the installation procedure. Note: Only use the following hardware to install Tooling (A).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lift truck to install electric motor (18). The weight of electric motor (18) is approximately 4100 kg (9020 lb). Install bolts (20).

Remove Tooling (A) from electric motor (18).

Slip Type Coupler
Apply Tooling (D) to the splines of coupler (17) and the rotor. Install coupler (17). Install spacer (16), washer (15), and bolt (14).

Install seal (13) and plate assembly (12). Apply Tooling (E) to the studs and install nuts (11). Repeat this step for the remaining seal.

Connect hose assembly (10) and clip (9).

Perform the stator winding insulation test. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, UENR2267, "Insulation - Test" for the correct procedure.
Perform the motor speed sensor test. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, UENR2267, "Motor Speed Sensor - Test" for the correct procedure.
Connect harness assemblies (8) and install the connecting hardware. Connect cable assemblies (7).

Connect grease hose assemblies (4). Fill grease hose assemblies (4) with Tooling (F).

Install the final drive, brake, and wheel.
