Illustration 1 g06025051
Information Display with the Cat Display Start-Up Page
The Cat Display Information Screen appears when the machine is being keyed on and when the machine is starting up. First, a black screen will appear. The Cat Display Information Screen will then gradually show the Cat logo. The logo will show for a period of 3 seconds before the Performance Page appears on the display. The Performance Page (Home page) will gradually fade in from the black screen within 1 second of the machine key-on.Note: A valid Operator ID must be entered if machine is equipped with MSS before the engine will start.Note: If the Rear View Camera is installed, the Back-Up Camera screen will appear after the Cat Detect Disclaimer Screen (if installed) and before the Performance Page.Key Switch Override
In most instances, the display screen will still be visible even after the operator keys the machine OFF. The display being visible allows the operator to continue monitoring the machine.Note: The display screen will shut down when the engine has stopped running and after the key switch is not turned ON.The display screen will not be visible when the machine is keyed OFF for the following conditions:
Engine
Transmission
Implement
Steering
MachineWhen the key switch is OFF but other conditions are preventing the display from shutting down, communication diagnostics should be suppressed. Other ECMs might shut down. If the key switch returns to ON, diagnostics should not be enabled until the usual delay at startup has passed.
The Operator ID (Identification) Machine Code Keypad page will not appear if any of the following actions occur:
The transmission is not in Neutral gear.
The parking brake is not engaged.
The engine speed is over 400 RPM.Note: The Operator ID (Identification) Machine Code Keypad will only appear if no Operator ID passcode has been previously entered. The machine will not key on unless an Operator ID passcode has been previously entered. For more information on the Operator ID (Identification), refer to the following section in this manual: Operator ID (Identification)
