Position the work tool on suitable cribbing that is on a hard, level surface.

Use two people in order to remove cover assembly (1). The weight of cover assembly (1) for the VHS-60/4 is approximately 32 kg (70 lb). The weight of cover assembly (1) for the VHS-70/4 is approximately 39 kg (85 lb).
Use the host machines hydraulic system to open the shear jaw.

Attach Tooling (A) to cover assembly (3) behind guide block (2) in order to secure the shear jaw open.
Release the hydraulic system pressure in accordance with the host machines Operation and Maintenance Manual.

Remove bolts (4). Remove cutting edges and shims (5) .Installation Procedure

Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cutters - Inspect/Replace" in order to install the following: cutting edges and shims (5) and bolts (4) .
