Right Steering Pump solenoid connectionsA CID 0726 is associated with the Right Steering Pump solenoid. An FMI 06 means the machine ECM has determined the current in the solenoid circuit is above normal.The possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed:
Right Steering Pump solenoid failure.
Right Steering Pump solenoid circuit ground short.
Machine ECM failure, but is most unlikely. Note: Poor connections are often the cause of a problem in electrical circuits. Before performing this procedure, inspect all the machine harnesses and connectors involved in the circuit. Make sure to verify that all of the connections in the circuit are clean, secure, and in good condition. Correct any problems found with any of the connections. Verify the diagnostic code CID 0726 FMI 06 is still active, before continuing with this procedure.Note: The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore all the created diagnostic codes now, but clear all those codes after the cause for the original diagnostic code has been corrected. Test Step 1. CHECK THE SOLENOID, ECM, AND HARNESS.
Turn the key start switch and the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness from the Right Steering Pump solenoid.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.
Observe the status of the CID 0726 FMI 06 diagnostic code.Expected Result:The diagnostic code has not changed and is still active.Results:
YES - The diagnostic code has not changed and is still active. The solenoid is not the problem. Go to Test Step 2.
