Location of the pulled unit position sensorThe pulled unit position sensor is located on the left side of the operator's seat. The pulled unit position sensor is a Pulse Width Modulated sensor. The pulled unit position sensor sends duty cycle signals to the Power Train Control Module (Power Train ECM).When the pulled unit control lever is used, the pulled unit position sensor sends an electric signal to the Power Train Electronic Control Module (Power Train ECM). The Power Train ECM uses this signal to energize the appropriate pulled unit proportioning solenoid on the pulled unit control valve. These pulled unit proportioning solenoids will move the spool in the pulled unit control valve. This will cause the oil to be sent to the pulled unit in order to move the hydraulics.The signal from the pulled unit position sensor is also used to neutralize the transmission. The Power Train ECM will allow only a forward speed or the NEUTRAL position when the pulled unit position sensor is in the OPEN position. The Power Train ECM will not allow a shift to the REVERSE position until the pulled unit position sensor has been moved from the OPEN position and the transmission shift lever is in the NEUTRAL position.Note: If the machine is in REVERSE and the pulled unit position sensor is in the OPEN position, the Power Train ECM will shift the transmission to NEUTRAL. The machine will remain in NEUTRAL until the pulled unit control lever is moved into the HOLD or FLOAT position and the transmission control has been cycled through NEUTRAL.
