When the backhoe control lever on the left side is moved to the STICK OUT position, spool (1) moves up.When the spool moves up, pump supply oil flows from passage (12) around the spool and into passage (13) .The hydraulic oil in passage (13) flows to pressure compensator valve (5). In the pressure compensator valve, the hydraulic oil flows into internal passages. The pressure compensator valve (5) moves out. As the pressure compensator valve moves out, the cross drilled passage is opened to an internal passage that is in the valve. Some of the hydraulic oil flows inside the pressure compensator valve (5) to chamber (4). The hydraulic oil that flows to chamber (4) is signal oil.
