Remove Oil Filter Housing
start by:a) remove fan and fan driveb) remove fuel filter1. Drain the coolant from the radiator below tube assembly (1). 2. Remove tube assembly (1) and brace (2). 3. Remove plate assembly (3) from the oil filter housing. 4. Remove bolt (4) that holds clamp (7) in place.5. Remove bolts (5) and flange that hold tube assembly (6) in the oil cover. 6. Remove the top outside bolts that hold the oil filter housing in place. Install two 1/2"-13 NC guide pins (8). Remove nuts (9). 7. Fasten a hoist as shown to the oil filter housing. Remove bolts (10) and (12) that hold the oil filter housing in place. Remove oil filter housing (11). The weight is 135 lb. (61 kg). The seal between the oil filter housing and is free to fall when the oil filter housing is removed.Install Oil Filter Housing
1. Fasten a hoist to the oil filter housing. Make sure the seal is in position between the oil filter housing and the support. Put oil filter housing (1) in position on the guide pins. Make sure tube assembly (2) slides into the oil cooler. 2. Install bolts (3) and (4) that hold the oil filter housing in place. 3. Install nuts (6). Remove guide pins (5) and install the bolts for the oil filter housing. 4. Put the clamp in place and install bolt (7) that holds it. Install flanges (8) and bolts (9) that hold the tube assembly in the oil cooler. 5. Install plate assembly (10) on the oil filter housing. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 150 20 lb.ft. (205 27 N m). 6. Put the gasket in place and install tube assembly (11). Install brace (12).7. Fill the radiator with coolant to the correct level. start by:a) remove oil filter housing 1. Remove seal (1) from the oil filter housing. 2. Remove plate (2) that holds tube assembly (3) in the oil filter housing. Remove tube assembly (3).3. Remove cover (4) from the oil filter housing.
Pins (6) hold springs (9) under compression.
4. Use a punch and hammer and remove pins (6), cups (7), seal (8) and springs (9) from guides (5). 5. Remove bolts (10) and washers that hold guides (5) in cover (4). Remove plug (11) and gasket from cover (4). 6. Remove cover (12) from the other end of the oil filter housing. Remove plug (13) and gasket from the cover. 7. Remove four filter elements (14) from the oil filter housing. 8. Use tool (A) and remove retaining ring (15) that holds the valve in place. 9. Use a brass punch and push the valve from the other side of the housing with a hammer and remove valve (16).
Retaining ring (17) holds a spring under compression.
10. Use tool (A) and remove retaining ring (17) from the valve. Remove slug (18), the spring and guide from
